Kirsty & Barry - Surprise wedding

Last year we had a very special wedding here at Bradwell Abbey. Kirsty & Barry invited their guests to Kirsty's 40th Birthday party... Little did they know they were there to witness them becoming husband & wife!

Guests' first clue when they arrived was the 'Wife begins at 40' sign, and if that wasn't super clear - it would have become apparent when they spotted Barry waiting at the end of the isle.

The ceremony barn set the tone of this party/wedding with jazzy disco vibes. With personalised tongue-in-cheek signage, isle flamingos and disco balls reflecting the glow of the fairy lights. Our personal favourite was the glitter pom poms for the guests to cheer the couple into married life.

The walk from the ceremony barn to the reception barn was lit with an arch of glittering fairy lights and more personalised signage. It added something extra special for the couple to walk out from tieing the knot and into the party.

The party carried on into our reception barn which was styled to perfection with glitter, sashes and disco balls. The dessert table was a huge hit (as expected with Kirsty being the owner of Oh My Cakery) didn’t it look stunning?!
